The title of this post is very misleading. We were able to go see the fireworks last night, but our whole experience was pretty uneventful. Samantha downed a bottle when we got there and pretty much immediately fell asleep. Once the explosions started happening I covered her ears and she slept through the entire show. I had to drape mosquito netting over her because the darn bugs were trying to eat her alive. At one point Gina came over and asked if Samantha was dressed up as a bride. I can kind of see where she came up with that...
I'm sure next year will be more fun for her, she'll be old enough to run around and play with the family before the fireworks start. Or maybe she'll be old enough to be scared by the noise and she'll want to go home. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
