We're back from our camping trip!

We are in desperate need of a blog update here.
I would have gotten something posted a day or two ago, but I've been sick with a mutant form of the common cold, and I haven't really been up to doing anything.
This past weekend we went camping at Holiday Shores in the Wisconsin Dells with my family. We used to camp there nearly every summer before I left for the Navy. It was really neat to get to go back there with my own little family. We went downtown in the Dells on Saturday to get some fudge (awesome stuff!) and to get an 'old time' picture done. We went with the pirate theme, they even had a little dress for Samantha to wear. They have all sorts of crazy copywright rules with their pictures, so this is the best I could do taking a picture it with my digital camera. The quality kind of stinks, but you get the idea.

Samantha pretty much seemed to enjoy her first experience camping. During the day she did great. She napped a lot and was cheerful when she was awake. Oh wait, but then she woke up screaming both nights we were there. I don't know if she was freaked out because we were someplace strange for her or what. I do know that we didn't appreciate it, and I'm sure the people in the tents around us didn't either. Oh well, babies scream, that's just the way it is. Here are a couple pics of her as a happy camper.
Before we left on Sunday we were all hanging out in my parents' camper. Chris decided it would be a great time to teach Samantha how to play catch. Lets just say she doesn't quite have the coordination for that game yet, and I managed to snap a picture proving it.

Yep, that was right after the ball bounced off her head. In his defense, it was a really soft squishy ball, so it didn't hurt her. I think it annoyed her more than anything.
Chris has some much better pictures from our trip on his camera, so we'll just have to make another post sometime in the next few days.
Now I'm off to bed to get as much sleep as I can before Samantha wakes up because she can't breathe. Being sick and having a sick baby is definitely not at the top of my 'favorite things in the world' list.
